3009 Series 3MP Car Camera Dash AVM Lens
Difference between AVM and ADAS lenses
AVM (Around View Monitor) and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) are both common camera systems on modern cars, but they have some differences in functions, application scenarios and technical requirements.
AVM camera
Function: Mainly used to provide a bird's-eye view around the vehicle to help the driver park, reverse and other operations in narrow spaces.
Installation location: All around the vehicle body, including the front, rear and sides.
Imaging characteristics: Provides a flat image around the vehicle to form a complete surround view in a splicing manner.
Technical requirements: High requirements for image splicing, distortion correction and other technologies.
ADAS camera
Function: Mainly used to perceive the environment around the vehicle, provide data for the ADAS system, and realize functions such as lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, collision warning, etc.
Installation location: front, rear and side of the vehicle body.
Imaging characteristics: Provides road conditions in front, rear and side of the vehicle, used to detect vehicles, pedestrians, lane lines, etc.
Technical requirements: High requirements for image processing, target recognition, depth perception and other technologies.
In short, the AVM camera is for "seeing" the surrounding environment, while the ADAS camera is for "understanding" the surrounding environment
